He graduated from « l’École des Beaux Arts » (school of Fine Arts) where he mainly studied drawing. Afterwards, he worked in advertising and in illustrating comics, getting inspiration specially from Georges Gavazzi’s, his younger brother’s scenarios.
In the early 70s he decided to dedicate himself solely to painting. His first paintings were exhibited in 1975. Light, heat and sunshine outline the frame of buildings standing in the middle of a colourful panel in which the onlooker can hear the ciccadas singing out and the noise of crashing waves.
Being now a senior, he has recently decided to refresh his talent by turning to monochromy and is now also devoted to the « Art of Portrait making ».
